7/07 - Railroad Specialties, Inc.
awarded track construction project in Rock Springs, WY
RSI has been awarded a contract to construct over 15,300 feet of track for
the yard expansion project at Simplot Phosphates. The contract will include
six switches and three road crossings. This project is scheduled to begin in
the fall of 2007.
10/06 - Railroad Specialties, Inc.
awarded track construction project in Southern Wyoming
Sinclair Refinery has awarded RSI a contract
to design and construct over 14,000 feet of subgrade and
track. RSI will construct ten turnouts and one highway
crossing with a crossing warning system and four in-plant road
crossings with this track project. The new track will
aid in Sinclair's refinery expansion plans.
7/06 - Railroad
Specialties, Inc. awarded track construction project in Lamar,
Colorado
The Arkansas River Power Authority (ARPA)
has awarded RSI a contract to construct over 12,600 feet of
track, including subgrade work, for their coal repowering
project. This contract includes one bridge, four
switches and one highway crossing. In addition, RSI did
all of the design work for the project. Dennis Olin, RSI
President, stated, "We are proud to assist ARPA in this
project to benefit the communities served by the new plant."
Recent Custom Projects:
Copper Ore Transload Facility - Design of a
10,500 ft2 building complete with unloading pit,
spur track through the building, and railcar cover handling
system for a mine in northern Nevada.
Trackside Loading Dock - Design and
construction of a rail spur with a four-car-length trackside
loading dock for a recycling facility.
Unit Train Track Design Consultant -
RSI has been contracted to critique the design of a 14-mile
long unit coal train track project. This work has
included a simulation study to evaluate the impact of designed
vertical curves on the performance and operation of the train.
RSI also prepared drawings for submittal to governmental
agencies for a highway signal warning system. |
